Foundation (1952 - 1959)

 

Over the years as prosperity started to grow so did the need for high-quality and comfortable living room furniture. And so in 1952, a former rag factory in the Swabian town of Ertingen began its production of upholstered furniture, sofa beds and mattresses.

The name of the young manufacturer: ERPO - a combination derived from "Ertingen" and the German term for upholstered furniture "Polstermöbel". An almost prophetic decision. Because even today - in times of an ever increasing internationalisation of markets - the company still remains true to itself and its original production site.

And for this reason, the name ERPO is synonymous with the promise of quality "Made in Germany". Today and in the future
